Alors the Oscars 2013 nominations will be announced tomorrow and the 2013 Golden Globes will be awarded on the night of Sunday to Monday, the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) have published their appointments. A year after the triumph of "The Artist," French cinema is again very present in twenty catégories.
Déjà awarded the Palme d'Or at the 65th Cannes Film Festival, "Love" by Austrian director Michael Haneke is called 4 times in the categories Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actress Emmanuelle Riva. The latter will face another French actress Marion Cotillard nominated for "Rust and Bone" by Jacques Audiard, also nominated in the category for best foreign film. The two actresses have much to deal with Helen Mirren, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain.
La the most disputed category is undoubtedly that language film where three non-English French-language films are affonteront. Indeed, "Love" and "Rust and Bone" will face, such as the Golden Globes, to "untouchables" by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, who harvest appointment only. The best film will pit "Argo" Ben Affleck, 'Les Miserables' Tom Hooper, "Lincoln" Steven Spielberg's "The Odyssey of Pi" and Ang Lee's "Zero Dark Thirty" Kathryn Bigelow. The ceremony will take place on February 10 prochain.
