LONDRES (Reuters) - Former England international midfielder Joe Cole will leave Liverpool to return to his former club, West Ham, the club announced Friday londonien.
"This is a great transfer for me (...) back here brings back many memories of the land where I learned to play," said Joe Cole. "This is where I learned my trade," said the 31-year-old, who is engaged for 18 mois.
Formed in West Ham, Joe Cole made his first team debut at age 17 in 1999, leaving four years later, when the Hammers were relegated to the second division.
Transferred to Chelsea, he was a regular holder of Jose Mourinho and artisans under the Blues in 2005, before injuries to the repetition of terrains.
awayarrived in Liverpool in 2010 to revive, Joe Cole has never managed to impose itself on the banks of the Mersey, even if its loan to Lille last season, seemed to be back on rails.
"I still had 18 months contract in Liverpool where I did not play much football and (coach of West Ham) Sam (Allardyce) wants me to play," said Joe Cole.
