PARIS (Reuters) - The first skirmishes of the bill establishing marriage for gay couples occurred in the Assembly on Monday night, within Affairs Committee sociales.
After a lengthy discussion and general rejection of amendments of the UMP including proposing to create a "civilian alliance" rather than gay marriage, UMP members of the committee have decided to leave the meeting, it was learned several participants.
